By creating an account or using Trackfinder, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Trackfinder is a song identification and media appearance discovery service. You can identify songs by typing a title, artist, or lyrics, or by humming, singing, or recording audio from a nearby speaker. Trackfinder then searches for appearances of that song across movies, TV shows, video games, and trailers. All users can browse the community discovery feed and First Finder leaderboard. Paid users can save discoveries to a personal library, earn First Finder badges, and share saves publicly. Pro users additionally have access to Song Story and Library Insights analytics.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You may optionally provide a first and last name, which will be used to personalise your experience. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Trackfinder.
Trackfinder offers four tiers:
Fan and Forever are single one-time purchases — no recurring charges. Fanatic is a monthly subscription that can be cancelled at any time via the in-app billing portal. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Due to the nature of digital access, refunds are not provided after purchase.
Fan, Forever, and Fanatic users may save song discoveries to a personal library. Saves marked as Public may be visible to other users of the service via the community feed and First Finder leaderboard. The Findprint feature analyses your saved discoveries to generate a personalised music placement identity — this data is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI and stored securely in your account. You are responsible for ensuring any content you make public does not violate applicable laws. Trackfinder reserves the right to remove public content that violates these terms.
You agree not to:
Search results are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude) based on its training data. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Trackfinder makes no guarantee that any result is correct. Results are provided for informational purposes only.
The Trackfinder application, interface, and branding are owned by Trackfinder. Song titles, artist names, album names, and media titles are the property of their respective owners. Trackfinder does not claim ownership of any third-party content referenced in search results.
Trackfinder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of results, or compatibility with all devices.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trackfinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
We do not store the text of your search queries beyond what is needed to return a result in that session. We do not store audio recordings. All searches are processed in real time.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your account data (email, optional display name, plan tier, usage count, library saves, genre avatar selection, and Findprint profile) is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider based in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
Your recent search history (up to 10 searches including song titles, artists, album art URLs, preview URLs, and appearance results) is stored locally on your device using localStorage and is never transmitted to our servers. Your Findprint profile is cached locally and also stored in your account for cross-device access.
Trackfinder uses the following third-party services to operate:
When you use the Hum/Sing or Radio features (available on Fan, Forever, and Fanatic plans), audio is captured temporarily by your browser microphone. For the Radio feature, a short audio clip is sent to AudD's recognition API and is not stored by Trackfinder after the response is returned. For Hum/Sing, audio is processed locally by your browser's speech recognition engine and only the recognised text is sent for song identification. Song preview audio is streamed directly from Apple's servers and is not stored or logged by Trackfinder.
When you save a discovery and mark it as Public, the song title, artist, year, and media appearances may be visible to other Trackfinder users via the community feed and First Finder leaderboard. Your genre avatar is visible to other users. Your Findprint profile is private by default — only the shareable card you choose to export is public. You can save discoveries as Private at any time. You may delete any saved item from your library at any time.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data — including your library saves, Findprint profile, and usage history — at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Your local search history can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for trackfinder.app.
Trackfinder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app.
